# How to Organize Your Garage: Zone-by-Zone System

Turn your garage from a dumping ground into an organized, functional space.

## 5 Steps to Garage Organization

### Empty and Assess

Remove everything. Sort into categories: tools, sports equipment, seasonal decorations, automotive supplies, and items to trash or donate.

### Create Zones

Designate areas for each category: Workshop zone (tools, workbench), Sports zone (bikes, balls, gear), Seasonal storage, Automotive corner, Garden/outdoor.

### Maximize Vertical Space

Install wall-mounted track systems, pegboards for hand tools, overhead ceiling storage for seasonal items. Get things off the floor.

### Use Clear, Labeled Bins

Store items in labeled, clear bins so you can see contents without opening. Stack for space efficiency. Group like items together.

5

### Create Accessibility Hierarchy

Most-used items at arm's reach. Rarely used items in overhead or back storage. Make it easy to grab and return.
